This is the rarest form of spinel, ultra rare zinc bearing spinel from Nigeria has a lovely blue colour and is incredibly hard to find in gem grade form. Only very tiny crystals of this material are ever found hence faceted gems are very collectible especially due to their colour.
Natural, untreated this would be perfect to mount in jewellery or be a great addition to any collection
