Mined in the Meralani Hills of Tanzania, this is a rare and sought after garnet variety. A close relation to the Tsavorite variety of garnet, this material is now extremely difficult to find clean gemstones of more that a carat in weight now.
This material has a strong pink fluorescence under UV light.
Colourless and Blue garnets are the rarest colours in the garnet spectrum.
