Bicolour Garnets are very rare, particularly transparent Garnets that show distinct lines of colour separation, such as this bicolour Leuco Garnet from Tanzania.
This Garnet shows bright green Tsavorite colour through the centre due to iron and chromium/vanadium, and light to colourless Leuco on either side due to insufficient chromophores.
Theres also strong fluorescence in this garnet under SW UV light. An exceptionally rare piece seldom found.
