Sapphire crystals are rarely formed in a trapiche formation, as such they are the rarest form of trapiche gem material. This piece is exceptionally rarer as it is fully transparent unlike other trapiche sapphires. This is a lovely polished slice from Kashmir, home of the finest sapphire on Earth.
There is also a lovely glow under UV light, very typical of natural sapphire from the Batakundi region.
